Lyran Alliance

The Lyran Alliance was a temporary name change taken by the sovereign Lyran state that reasserted its independence from the Federated Commonwealth in 3057, once again ruled from Tharkad by the Archon of House Steiner. Functionally identical to the Lyran Commonwealth of old, the Alliance carried the Commonwealth’s legendary wealth and industrial might into a bold new era of self-determination.

When the Lyran half of the Federated Commonwealth reclaimed full sovereignty under Archon Katherine Steiner-Davion, it took the name Lyran Alliance — a continuation of the Commonwealth’s proud traditions under independent rule. The Alliance inherited everything that made the Lyran state formidable: the enormous economy, the Tharkad seat of power, the powerhouse manufacturer Defiance Industries, and a military built around heavy and assault ‘Mechs. The Lyran Alliance Armed Forces modernized aggressively, and the era saw the debut of iconic heavy designs and a renewed emphasis on professional soldiering over the political appointments of earlier generations. Though the period brought hard conflicts, the Alliance demonstrated the enduring resilience of the Lyran people and their capacity to rebuild and reassert leadership among the Great Houses. Its culture retained the mercantile ambition, civic pride, and cosmopolitan character that have always defined the Lyran realm.

Why command the Alliance

Because it’s the Lyran heavyweight at its most independent and modern. You field top-tier assault lances, elite professional commands, and the wealth to bring the biggest, best-equipped force to any table — under the Steiner banner and free of any partner’s leash. Perfect for players who want classic Lyran heavy metal with a sharper, more professional edge.
