BattleTech BattleMechs in combat
It is the 32nd Century
War is Fought by
Metal Titans

Endless wars rage across human-occupied space. These epic clashes between star empires are won and lost by BattleMechs — 30-foot-tall humanoid war machines bristling with lasers, autocannons, and other lethal weapons. Your elite force of MechWarriors drives these juggernauts into battle, proudly holding your faction's flag high to expand the power and glory of your realm.

Will you become a legend, or a forgotten casualty? BattleTech is the world's greatest armored combat game — a turn-based tabletop wargame played on hex-grid battlefields where every decision matters, every shot counts, and every campaign tells a story.

Sequence of PlayA BattleTech turn consists of several phases
I
Every Turn
1
Initiative Phase
Both sides roll dice — the winner chooses who moves first this turn. Higher initiative lets you react to your opponent.
2
Movement Phase
Players alternate moving 'Mechs one at a time. Speed determines how far a 'Mech moves and how hard it is to hit.
3
Weapon Attack Phase
Players simultaneously declare weapon attacks, then resolve them. Roll to hit, roll hit location, apply damage. Every result is tracked on the record sheet.
II
End Phase
4
Physical Attack Phase
In close quarters, 'Mechs can punch, kick, or charge each other — devastating if it connects, risky if it misses.
5
Heat Phase
BattleMechs generate heat from weapons fire and movement. Too much heat forces shutdowns, misfires, or worse. Heat management is a key tactical skill.
6
End Phase
Fallen 'Mechs attempt to stand, pilots check for consciousness, and the battlefield resets for the next turn.
